The Los Angeles Dodgers proved that last season's offseason wasn't a one-time plan, as they have already secured the biggest addition of the offseason to date. Blake Snell reportedly signed a five-year, $182 million contract with the team on Tuesday to join its rotation, which is only getting healthier over the offseason.

The Dodgers won the World Series partly by having to bullpen every few games because they just didn't have enough starting pitchers. That may not be a problem again in 2025 as they've brought in a new star and have players who will be back in 2025. Here's what their rotation might look like.

Predicting Dodgers 2025 rotation after Blake Snell addition

The Los Angeles Dodgers will get Shohei Ohtani back on the mound in 2025. He was limited to being a designated hitter only in 2024, but his arm will be fully healed by the time the 2025 season arrives. That means he will be a mainstay in their rotation.

The addition of two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell likely puts the former San Francisco Giants star near the top of the rotation. The Dodgers, with Snell, Ohtani, Glasnow and possibly others, have multiple players who could be the ace on another team.

Given that Ohtani will be coming off of Tommy John surgery and the Dodgers may want to protect their investment a little bit, he likely won't be the ace. Instead, their rotation could look like this:

  1. Blake Snell
  2. Tyler Glasnow
  3. Yoshinobu Yamamoto
  4. Shohei Ohtani
  5. Clayton Kershaw

They would have former starters Bobby Miller, Dustin May, Tony Gonsolin and possibly even Gavin Stone or River Ryan as depth pieces as well. Additionally, they were the favorites to land Roki Sasaki before their signing of Snell, which might allow them to have a dominant six-man rotation.

Sasaki will be available to every MLB team and he won't cost as much as Yamamoto did last year, so the Dodgers can afford to add him even after signing Snell. It just remains to be seen whether they want to continue attacking the rotation or look elsewhere to fill out the roster they'll use to try and defend their title.
