Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. is coming off a spectacular season, where he won the National League MVP Award. He slugged 41 home runs while leading the league with 73 steals.

However, 16 games into the new season, he was one of the stars who had yet to hit a home run. That would change on Wednesday, as he took Houston Astros pitcher J.P. France deep to center field.

Acuna's home run to center field shows just how much power he possesses at the plate. Going deep to dead center at the Minute Maid Park is not an easy thing to do.

Braves fans are over the moon seeing their star get the monkey off of his back. A few more games without a home run could have caused Acuna to press at the plate.

"Finally our king is so back" - one fan posted.
"League is cooked" - posted another fan.
"His swing is so clean!" - posted another.

Fans think it could open up the floodgates for Acuna, which would be a problem for the rest of the league. He was on an absolute tear last season.

"We're so back" - said another fan.
"He's going to go nuclear now watch" - said another fan.
"Alrighty now we go" - said another.

If Acuna is back on track, Atlanta could do some serious damage. They looked like one of the top teams in the league without their star asserting his dominance at the plate.

Ronald Acuna Jr. must step his game up with the recent news surrounding their ace Spencer Strider. Strider had internal brace surgery to repair his damaged UCL.

It's a huge loss for the squad as he was considered by many as one of the pitchers to fight for the AL Cy Young Award this season. Now, he will set his eyes on getting healthy and returning in 2025.

While losing an ace would greatly hurt many other teams, Atlanta is one of the teams that can take this kind of loss. Their rotation is still solid, especially after acquiring Chris Sale over the winter.

Max Fried, Sale, Charlie Morton and Reynaldo Lopez are more than capable of holding down the rotation. They also have players like Bryce Elder and AJ Smith-Shawver waiting in the wings.
