How much will MLB.TV cost for T-Mobile subscribers?

Is MLB.TV available with T-Mobile?

MLB.TV is an excellent subscription service that gives baseball fans a chance to watch their favorite teams anywhere and at any time. It's not a cheap service, though. In previous years, they've teamed up with T-Mobile to offer the service for free for customers with a line.

However, that is no longer the case. Their website says:

"Our deal for a free MLB.TV subscription has concluded for the year—and we delivered $122 million in value to our customers in one week."

Unfortunately, this means that MLB TV hopefuls will have to spend on a subscription. Fortunately, here are the options:

  • $149 a year
  • $24.99 a month (translates to almost $150 a year)
  • $129.99 for a single team

The first option gives players access to every team. They can watch any MLB game they want. The same is true for the monthly subscription, it will just need to be renewed for the same price each month.

With the single team choice, fans can watch their team and their team alone. Additionally, minor league games will now be available with these subscriptions, so there's never been a better time to get MLB TV.

Why isn't there MLB.TV for free on T-Mobile?

T-Mobile didn't say why they didn't renew their deal with MLB.TV. There could be licensing issues or a contract dispute. Either way, it's not available for free right now. That deal has come and gone.

Even though there's no free subscription for the baseball streaming with T-Mobile, the phone company does offer other perks right now.

A Magenta plan comes with Netflix for free. Magenta MAX comes with Apple TV+ for free or six months free with the standard Magenta plan. A full year of Paramount+ can be had, too.

There are tons of reasons to look into T-Mobile, but right now, MLB TV is not one of them. That could change in the future, as they have offered it for free before.

For now, though, fans will have to head over to MLB.com to get a subscription and they'll have to pay for it, but it's arguably worth every penny.
