Dylan Crews and the Washington Nationals couldn't make the postseason, but the former LSU Tiger is winning in life. Crews popped the big question to his girlfriend and fellow LSU alum, Jane Carson, which she later shared on her social media.
Crews and Carson were on a romantic getaway in Bellagio, Italy, miles from the World Series frenzy in the U.S. On Monday, Carson shared the good news on her Instagram, much to the delight of fans, family and friends.
Carson posted two images on her Instagram, flaunting the ring Crews gave her. She also shared several stories, from which it seemed like the Nationals outfielder popped the question while on a boat while vacationing in Italy.
"Could not be more excited to spend the rest of my life with you💝 such a special day! I’m going to be a wifey!!💍," Jane Carson captioned the post.
2024 was Dylan Crews' rookie campaign in the Major Leagues, following his selection as the second overall pick by the Washington Nationals in the 2023 MLB draft. In limited action, Crews flashed his potential by belting three home runs, driving in eight RBIs and swiping 12 bases in just 31 games.
The sample size has left so much to be seen, and with the recent success in his personal life, Crews will have extra motivation to perform better in the 2025 MLB season.
MLB community reacts to Dylan Crews' engagement with Jane Carson
It didn't take long for the MLB community to send well wishes to Dylan Crews after he popped the big question to Jane Carson. Notable names like Olivia Dunne, LSU gymnast and girlfriend of Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes, LSU baseballer Alex Milazzo, and more reacted to the good news. The Washington Nationals' official Instagram channel too wished their potential star in the making.
"So exciting!!! Congratulations🤍💍," Olivia Dunne commented.
"LETS FREAKIN GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO congratulations!! 💕," Washington Nationals commented.
"Congrats!!!! Very excited for y’all," Alex Milazzo commented.
"screaming!!!! so happy for y’all!💓💓, " Elena Arenas, an LSU gymnast alum, wrote.
"Congrats Crews missile!" Marcus Brown, a fellow Nationals player, commented.
"Congrats brotha!!!" Eric Reyzelman, an LSU pitcher drafted by the New York Yankees posted.
Often compared to his fellow LSU alumni Alex Bregman and DJ Lemahieu, Dylan Crews has all the potential to become an elite five-tool player in the MLB. With newfound motivation for 2025, the Nationals can expect great things from their outfielder.
