Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran found the bright side in being booed by rival fans. He cited examples of teammates Alex Bregman and Rafael Devers to suggest that it's his dream to get booed in Yankee Stadium.

It's been a norm at the Yankee Stadium to boo rivals especially those who have gotten on the wrong side of home fans. The most recent example was Juan Soto, who was in the Bronx for the Subway Series.

Ahead of the series opener between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees, Duran spoke highly of Bregman and Devers for being the reason to give an itch in rival fans' stomachs.

“Absolutely. I mean, you’ve got every fan in Yankee Stadium booing you — that’s what you live for, that moment,” Duran said.
“When people boo Bregman because he’s so good, I’m like, ‘I want to get there.’ I want people to boo me because I’m good and I cause damage against their team. They always boo Rafi, and I’m like, ‘It’s because Rafi’s good — that’s why they boo him.’”

Jarren Duran named as trade candidate to Cardinals by analyst

If the Red Sox prove to be anything but buyers, Jarren Duran's stay in Boston might be over. He's increasingly seeing his name in trade rumors; while nothing is confirmed from the Red Sox about their intentions, Bleacher Report's Zachary Rymer named the outfielder in his 10 hypothetical proposals.

"Trade Proposal: St. Louis Cardinals get OF Jarren Duran, Boston Red Sox get 2B/SS JJ Wetherholt (Cardinals No. 1), LHP Quinn Mathews (Cardinals No. 2)," Rymer said.

The Cardinals' outfield will improve considerably with a potential Duran acquisition.

"They don't have a bad outfield, but Jordan Walker is holding them back in right field," Rymer added. "Duran's arrival could take care of that by bumping Lars Nootbaar from left to right, with Victor Scott II and his defense remaining in center."

Duran has several years ahead of him with Boston, so it would make little sense to trade him. In his latest start against the Yankees, he hit 1-for-3 and scored two runs in Red Sox's 9-6 loss. Duran is hitting .274 along with four home runs and 13 stolen bases.
