Los Angeles Angels fans react to Albert Pujols arriving at Spring Training as an instructor

Albert Pujols is back on the West Coast with the Los Angeles Angels. He'll be working with the team in spring training as an instructor. This is due to the fact that he signed a personal services contract with the team after he retired.

Personal service contracts are now a thing of the past, with Pujols signing the last one. The league and players' association will no longer approve of these types of deals.

On top of working with some hitters in spring training, he will also work with players at the Angels' academy in the Dominican Republic. It's a great opportunity for hitters to learn from one of the best to ever do it.

Albert Pujols is one of the most decorated players to have ever played the game. There's no doubt that he'll have a ton of tips and knowledge to pass down to the Angels organization.

However, some Los Angeles Angels fans get a bad taste in their mouths when speaking about Pujols. He wasn't the most successful during his time there as he was nearing the end of his career.

"Not sure why? The best thing he did for the Angels was leaving," one fan explained.
"What a joke. Tell his a** to go home," said another fan.

During his 10 years with the Angels, Pujols hit .256/.311/.447 with 222 home runs. He had three different seasons where he hit 30 or more home runs. So, not everything was a waste during his time with the team.

Not a lot of MLB players have a list of accomplishments and awards longer than Albert Pujols does. His career highlights and awards page look more like a grocery list than anything else.

In 2001, he won National League Rookie of the Year. Just two seasons after his rookie season, he was the NL batting champion.

Pujols is an 11-time All-Star, two-time World Series champion, three-time NL MVP, two-time Gold Glove winner, and a two-time NL home run leader. In his final season, he won the NL Comeback Player of the Year award.

Not only will Pujols help the young guys, but he'll also be a big help to Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani. With Pujols' help, the Los Angeles Angels could get over the hump this season.
