Nick Castellanos and the Philadelphia Phillies postseason run come to a halt as they are defeated by the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-2 in Game 7 of the NLCS showdown.

It's not only the fans who are disappointed but the entire Phillies roster also cannot digest this loss, especially since they were the favorites before the series started. They also once had a commanding lead of 3-2 coming into Game 6 but Arizona's consecutive wins have denied their hopes of returning to the World Series.

In a postgame interaction, Nick Castellanos, who went 0-4 in Game 7, expressed his sentiments on the series loss:

“It’s a terrible feeling. It’s a humbling feeling. It’s a humbling game. Everybody feels like there was more potential in this clubhouse.”

Philadelphia's spirited playoff run ended with an NLCS exit, falling short of their World Series dreams since 2008.

A look at NLCS Game 7

The game didn't see much fireworks as the only home run came off Alec Bohm in the second inning. Arizona's pitching was on top of their game in the decider as they only gave two runs off five hits. Rookie Brandon Pfaadt had another good outing as he pitched 4.0 innings for two runs and struck out seven hitters.

The Phillies' offense was even more concerning with their big names not coming to the party. Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, and Nick Castellanos went a combined 0-for-12, highlighting their offensive challenges. Finally, Dbacks closer Paul Sewald retired the hitters in order to book his team's place in the World Series.
