"Rename it to 'A taste of a heart attack'"; "$25 for a stomach ache is crazy" - MLB fans slam Royals' bold new taco launch at Kauffman Stadium

For Kansas City Royals fans, new menu items have been added by Aramark Sports + Entertainment at Rivals Sports Bar in Section 250, beyond the right field stands of Kauffman Stadium.

Starting July 19, "Taste of the K Taco," priced at $25, a hot dog wrapped in a cheeseburger quesadilla, topped with barbecue brisket, French fries, shredded romaine, pickled red onion, and Sriracha Cracker Jacks and 816 Sauce, will be on the menu for fans at Kauffman, according to SI.

However, netizens heavily mocked the bold new taco launch at Kauffman Stadium.

"$25 for a stomach ache is crazy," one fan commented under the post.

"Should be renamed to “A taste of a heart attack,”" another added.

"A stoner definitely made this recipe," a fan wrote.

"I can’t tell if this is a hell yeah moment or a hell no moment," another posted.

The trolls continued, as it seems fans haven't quite settled in on the Royals' new launch.

"Does it come with health insurance?" one quipped.

"This is embarrassing as an American," another wrote.

"Other countries are laughing at us…" another added.

The Late Show host Stephen Colbert had his say on Royals' "Taste of the K Taco" offering

Television host Stephen Colbert mocked the new offering "Taste of the K Taco" at Kauffman Stadium with a comedic satire on his "The Late Show."

“The Kansas City Royals have a new ballpark food item called the ‘Taste of K Taco,’ which is a charred hot dog wrapped in a cheeseburger quesadilla and topped with barbecue brisket, french fries, shredded romaine, pickled red onion, Sriracha Cracker Jacks and 816 sauce,” Colbert said.

“Now, I don’t know exactly what 816 sauce is, but based on those other ingredients, I assume it’s embalming fluid.”

This new offering has gone viral on social media since being announced on Thursday.

Apart from the "Taste of the K Taco," Aramark has added six new items at other ballparks as well, which are as follows:

Cajun Etouffee Nacho (Minute Maid Park)
City Churri Sandwich (Citizens Bank Park)
Pig Mac (Fenway Park)
Polar Pasta (Coors Field)
The Mets’ropolitan (Citi Field)
