Fernando Tatis Jr. was a part of the San Diego Padres FanFest on Saturday, along with a number of key members of the team. If you're unfamiliar, FanFest is a festival to hype up the upcoming season. Usually, every team across the league will hold one before the season starts.

During the interview portion of the event, Tatis Jr. took to the microphone to tell the crowd how much he loves San Diego. He also assured everyone in attendance that he's not leaving anytime soon.

If you remember, Tatis took the world by storm when he entered the league. He was on his way to being the face of baseball until his disastrous year last year. After getting ready for his return from a fractured wrist he sustained before the season, he was hit with a PED suspension. It was an unfortunate situation for Tatis Jr., the fans, and the game of baseball.

San Diego Padres fans couldn't be happier for Fernando Tatis Jr. to make his return. They have high expectations for him and the team this season.

"I love this!" one fan commented.
"My goat" another fan tweeted.

The Padres acquired All-Star shortstop Xander Bogaerts in free agency. This left many wondering if Tatis would become a trade chip. But that doesn't seem to be the case, as he'll shift over to the outfield.

This team is going to be a fun one to watch. Their roster is full of exciting stars. It's crazy to think that Tatis Jr., Manny Machado, Xander Bogaerts, and Juan Soto are all on the same team.

The Padres have put together an impressive roster for the 2023 season. Alongside Bogaerts, the team acquired Matt Carpenter in free agency. The veteran slugger was on a tear with the New York Yankees until he fractured his foot and had to miss significant time.

They also signed Nelson Cruz to a one-year, one-million-dollar contract. Cruz was coming off a poor year at the plate last season, but he was dealing with blurred vision. He's had surgery in the offseason to fix the issue and should be back to hitting bombs this season.

With Fernando Tatis Jr. returning alongside their winter haul, this could be a dominant year for the San Diego Padres.
