Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene will be remembered for a while after his latest incident on the mound, but it's not for a good reason. Greene surprised many fans when pitching against Pirates slugger Bryan Reynolds.
During the top of the first inning, Greene threw a pitch that Reynolds fouled off. Right after the pitch, Greene turned back to the mound and threw up. It was not the first time a pitcher had thrown up on the mound. The New York Mets' Adrian Houser was the other pitcher to throw up before Greene.
While it seemed like Greene was sick, MLB fans couldn't help but comment on the situation.

Here's a look at some of the fan reactions on X.
"Spitballs are out. Barf balls are in," wrote one fan.
"Who does he think he is? Houser???" another fan asked.
"This happens like twice a year every year, and every time it’s funny but also so bizarre," another fan added.
Comments continued to flow as some fans ridiculed Hunter Greene for his throwing-up moment.
"Didn’t have a foreign substance on his hand, he had it in his body," one fan chipped in.
"Manipulating the mound for the opposing pitcher," another fan chimed in.
"Playing on the Reds long enough will do that," another fan responded.
Surprisingly, this was not the first time for Greene as well. The starter threw up against the Pirates just a few days back in his previous start. It turns out that Greene had been drinking a lot of water to beat the heat, which led to him throwing up.
Hunter Greene takes the loss for the Reds as Pirates triumph
Despite throwing up, Hunter Greene continued to pitch for the next four innings. However, he suffered a loss and dropped his record to 5-3. The pitcher gave up six earned runs and walked two opponent hitters with five strikeouts.
The Reds lost 9-5 to the Pirates. Greene has a 3.79 ERA with 103 strikeouts in 92-plus innings pitched. The talented pitcher leads the team in strikeouts and has pitched the most number of innings.
