With their win on Tuesday night, the AL All-Stars continued their dominance in the game. Since 1988, the American League has now won 27 out of the 35 games that have been played. The American League's previous stretch of supremacy came in its initial days from 1933 to 1949 when they won 16 of those encounters.

Things began to change from 1950 to 1987 as the National League won 33 ASGs. But the AL has since been on the top in recent times. Overall, they lead 48-44 with two tied games. The AL also leads the run count 388-380.

This was also the Japanese sensation's first appearance for the National League, having switched teams in the offseason. He went yard against Tanner Houck as the ball sailed above Juan Soto's head in right field who didn't move from his position.

Soto came up with an answer of his own later on as the New York Yankees outfielder struck a two-RBI double and then scored an RBI single off David Fry. With the game tied, Boston Red Sox's Jarren Duran struck a go-ahead two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning. The American League was able to hold onto the win as Emmanuel Clase closed it out in the ninth for the victory.
