San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado is undoubtedly one of the finest infielders of his generation, even though he can be quite a polarizing figure at times. Nevertheless, his presence and demeanor are unmistakable on the field.
An actor in a Japanese television channel depicted a comical impersonation of the superstar third baseman and his on-field mannerisms in a short clip that was recently posted by the Talkin' Baseball podcast on X.

The video shows a Japanese actor in a full San Diego Padres uniform wearing a pair of large dark sunglasses that Manny Machado typically adorns during a sunny day on the field, although the name on the back of the shirt is that of his teammate, Fernando Tatis Jr. He then goes to the side of the stage and stands with his legs wide apart, just as Machado does while fielding at third base.
The actor then languidly jogs a couple of steps to his right to field an imaginary lazy ground ball. He seemingly makes a clean grab of the invisible ball with his glove before tossing it casually to his throwing hand. He then examines it for a few moments while blowing a bubble with his gum.
The comedian ended his impersonation by rifling a strong vertical underarm throw to first base in the same fashion that Manny Machado often does. He immediately closed out the act by dropping down through a trapdoor on the stage.
Hall of Fame worthy career of Manny Machado

Manny Machado was selected by the Baltimore Orioles as the third overall pick of the 2010 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut with the team in 2012 and has also represented the Los Angeles Dodgers besides the San Diego Padres over his 13-year career.
Machado is regarded as one of the best in the game for his excellent defense at third base, while he is also among the most productive offensive players for that position. He became one of the highest-paid players in MLB after signing a 10-year, $300 million deal for the Padres with a further $45 million signing bonus.
At the moment, Manny Machado seems destined to be enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame at the end of his career. He is a six-time All-Star and has won two Silver Slugger Awards and two Gold Gloves in addition to a Platinum Glove.
Meanwhile, Machado has batted .279/.338/.488 over his career thus far, with 124 OPS+, 342 home runs, and 1049 RBIs. He has also finished inside the top five of the MVP voting on four occasions and has accumulated 57.8 bWAR, which puts him in fifth place among all active position players.
