For some of the old school fans, Bob Wood would have been a great shout. The versatile right-handed hitter made his first appearance for the Reds back in 1898. He went on to play 57 games for Detroit between 1904-1905.
Irish born catcher and first baseman Jimmy Archer would have been a name many fans may have missed out on. Archer played just nine games for a Reds and 18 games for the Tigers.
Shortstop Johnny Lipon would have been another great answer. Lipon played in 758 games over a nine-year MLB career but is an interesting answer because he played just one game and had just one National League at-bat for the Reds in 1954.
