What is Draymond Green's career high and against which team did it come?

Draymond Green's career high might be a lot higher than many people think. While most who follow the NBA realize that Green was once an above-average scorer from at least three-point range, he was still around two of the greatest shooters of all time.

His two career highs don't necessarily count because they were both in the postseason. They count in terms of that, but playoff numbers don't get tracked in all-time numbers. Those two games saw him score 37 points against the Portland Trail Blazers in 2016 and 32 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals.

If Draymond Green is scoring 37 and 32 points, it would make sense if the Golden State Warriors won those games. However, the Warriors lost both games.

Draymond Green's career high happened during the 2014 season against the Chicago Bulls. Former Chicago Bulls center Pau Gasol was impressed with what Green was able to do in that game.

What he said was interesting considering that many don't view Green as this type of scoring threat anymore.

"We made a conscious effort of getting Curry out of the game, but we left Green open a lot of the time," Gasol said. "He got going and he shot 13 3s -- which is a lot of 3s -- and most of them were uncontested."

Head coach Steve Kerr also had praise for what Green was able to do in the game, saying the following:

“The numbers are incredible tonight... That’s who he is. He’s a winner and he’s given us a new dimension with this three-point shooting. When you can pick-and-pop with your 4 man, it spreads the floor.”

Hearing people talk about Draymond like this isn't something that most would ever think of. In the 2014-2015 season, Green shot a career high 38.8% from three-point range. It was the highest of his career by a wide margin. His 2014-2015 season was his second-best year and he shot 33.7% from beyond the arc.

Draymond Green's career high

Draymond Green's career high in regular season games is 31 points. He shot an impressive 11-20 from the field and 7-13 from three-point range.

While Green scored a career high in that game, it was a 12-game winning streak for Golden State. That 12-game winning streak was the biggest streak in franchise history at the time, as the team won 11 straight games in 1971-1972.

After hearing what Green had to say, it's crazy to remember the Warriors' struggles. Everyone sees the type of success they have had in the past decade and thinks they've always been this successful. However, Draymond puts into perspective how good this current Warriors core has been.

"You're talking about a franchise that was historically known for losing," Green said. "A new ownership group came in, and it completely changes the entire organization. It's a great feeling. We feel like we have a lot left in the tank."

Draymond may have another 30-plus point game under his belt, although it seems unlikely.
