The Oklahoma Sooners women's basketball team represents the University of Oklahoma and competes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The collegiate team has made appearances in 25 NCAA Tournaments and was the NCAA Tournament runner-up in 2002. Jennie Baranczyk is the Oklahoma Sooners women's basketball team's head coach, as of March 2025. She joined the Sooners in 2021 following a nine-year spell with the Drake Bulldogs women's team. In 2024, she was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year and was a semi-finalist for the National Coach of the Year award. She started her career as an assistant coach at Kansas State Univeristy and made subsequent stops at Marquette University and University of Colorado Boulder before earning her first head coaching role in 2012.
