Oweh was a four-star recruit and played for Team Final EYBL (PA). In the Peach Jam, he was named the Breakout Player of the Session, averaging 14.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 1.3 assists per game. As a sophomore at Blair Academy, Oweh averaged 14.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 steals, and 1.9 assists per game.

Oweh's journey began with the Oklahoma Sooners, where he played for two seasons. In his freshman season (2022-23), he played in 28 games, averaging 4.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.2 assists per game. Oweh's performance improved in his sophomore year (2023-24), where he averaged 11.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists over 32 games, starting in 28 of them. After his time in Oklahoma, he decided to transfer to Kentucky. In his first season with the Wildcats, Oweh has emerged as a standout player. He is leading the team in scoring with an average of 16.2 points per game while also contributing 3.8 rebounds and two steals per game (as of June 2025).
