Warner Bros. Interactive is all set to release its upcoming action role-playing game, Gotham Knights, on October 25, 2022. Based on popular DC character Batman, Gotham Knights will allow players to venture into the most dynamic and interactive Gotham City to date.
The story revolves around the four main characters, together known as the Batman Family. These include Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl, and Robin. Gamers will be able to play with these characters, and each features unique powers and skills.
DC comic villains that fans would love to see in Gotham Knights
The most popular character in the game, Batman, is already dead in Gotham Knights and the Batman family is tasked with restoring justice in Gotham City.
Villains have been an important aspect of every Batman game. Players will encounter a secret society of notorious villains known as the Court of Owls, responsible for controlling Gotham City for centuries.
Here are some other popular DC villains that would have been an excellent choice for Gotham Knights:
1) Riddler
Riddler is one of the arch enemies of Batman, first introduced in 1948. He committed heinous crimes to satisfy his obsession with riddles. He is an extremely intelligent criminal mastermind who thinks he is smarter than others and thus leaves challenging clues to decrypt his crimes.
Riddler had an obsession with proving his superiority over Batman and used it to incorporate death traps and puzzles to test Batman and the police.
His entry into the Gotham Knights would be very interesting to see if any of the characters in the Batman family possess such intellectual power to eliminate Riddler.
2) Jack the Ripper
Jack the Ripper was the main antagonist in Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, and the fictionalized character was inspired by the real-life serial killer, Jack the Ripper. In the Batman universe, he used to commit murders, particularly on prostitutes, making him one of the most brutal killers that Batman has ever faced.
In the story, his true identity is Jacob Parker, who possesses a comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and skills in hand-to-hand combat. Being one of the evilest characters in the Batman universe, fans would love to eliminate Jack the Ripper in Gotham Knights.
3) Joker
Joker is one of the most popular characters in the DC universe. Often considered the greatest rival of Batman, Joker is a dangerous madman turned serial killer. His brilliant criminal mindset and unpredictable physical combat skills make him one of the most powerful characters.
Though he has spent most of his time in Arkham Asylum, Joker has shown no remorse in executing mass murders. He has passed up many chances to kill Batman successfully, and other characters like Robin and Batgirl were simply no match for him.

Mister Freeze is one of the arch enemies of Batman and a member of the Secret Society of Super-Villains. As a former scientist working on cryogenics, he fights using cold-themed weapons.
