After winning the opening ODI in Pune, it was Australia who came to Jaipur for the second ODI with increased confidence. That was evident when they smashed the Indian bowlers to all corners of the Sawai Man Singh stadium to post 359 for 5 in their 50 overs.
India needed a good start and they got just that, with Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma putting on 176 runs for the 1st wicket Virat Kohli came to the middle and displayed an array of strokes, smashing the Indian record for the fastest hundred by an Indian in ODIs and putting on 184 for the second wicket to help the hosts register their highest chase of their ODI history.
