10 stars who have faded away from Test cricket

England v India: 1st npower Test - Day Four
Abhinav Mukund never really managed to get going.

#9 Stephen Cook

Stephen Cook
Stephen Cook is the son of former cricketer Jimmy Cook.

Stephen Cook, the son of former Test Cricketer Jimmy Cook hasn't been able to replicate his father's success at the international level. A lot was expected from Jimmy Cook at the international level as he was a technically sound batsman and played shots that were abided to the textbook.

He had a dream start to his international career as he scored a century on his Test debut against England. He is also the current record holder for scoring the highest individual score (104) in the third innings of a day-night test match.

However, he suffered a major transition in his form as his career progressed. After notching up 3 centuries in 19 innings, he managed to score meagre 17 runs in the next four innings. This massive decline in form subsequently led the selectors to drop him from the Proteas squad.

As he is on the wrong side of the thirties, Stephen Cook's dream of playing for South Africa again might not come true.
