The Indian speedster looked in great form with his control over the ball in the first two hours of play on Day 3. He managed to get the first breakthrough for his side in the first innings and also got rid of the opposition skipper just at the stroke of the lunch.
He looked by far the most threatening bowler of the Indian lot despite the conditions that were more conducive for batting at Day 3. If Shami continues to bowl in the right areas, he has the knack of ripping through the batting order in a couple of spells. It is an opportunity for him with already two wickets to his name to get his name on the Lord's honours board with his maiden fifer at this historic ground.
