#1 Mayank Agarwal

England Lions v India A - Tri-Series International
Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal is an uncapped player but has been on the radar of selectors for his incredible domestic form. He has been knocking on the doors of the selectors for quite some time now. The talented batsman can be an asset to the Indian Test team if he replicates his domestic form in International cricket.

He has played 34 first-class matches for Karnataka and has a batting average of 48. He was undoubtedly one of the best Indian domestic players of the last season. For instance, he scored a top-notch triple hundred last year against Maharashtra. He was the highest run-getter of 2017-18 Ranji Trophy season. He finished with 1160 runs at an average of 105.45.

Agarwal scored a total of 2141 runs in the 2017-18 season, which was highest ever total of any player in a single Indian domestic season. Hence, he should have been picked by the Indian selectors for the last two Test matches. However, if he can maintain his splendid batting form, then he is not far away from making a debut.
