Jos Buttler is in the form of his life at the moment and seems to have bloomed as a batsman. His performances in the ODI series against Australia were enough to warrant his promotion to the role of an opening batsman in England's T20 side and this is a move which the young batsman seems to have relished.

Buttler has always been a destructive batsman but he really seemed to have found a new gear during this year's Indian Premier League where he proved to be one of the most valuable players in the Rajasthan Royals squad. He carried this form forward into the series against Australia and found yet a new dimension to his game.

Buttler was as destructive as ever during the ODI and T20I series against Australia, but he showed that he also has the ability to restrain himself and play sensibly when the need arises. The final ODI against Australia underlined this fact as Buttler's calm innings ensured that England sealed a humiliating 5-0 whitewash against Australia.

India need to be wary of the enormous threat which Buttler poses. He never spends times at the crease without making an impact and India will need to ensure that they remove him early on before he gets the chance to do too much damage. Once he gets going it is very difficult to restrain him and this is something which India need to keep in mind.
