Robin Singh was one of the greatest all rounders to play for India in the shorter format of the game. Singh was exceptionally brilliant in all three departments and gave numerous match-winning performances for India both with the bat and ball in the One-Day International arena. He became a regular feature in the Indian side for years in the limited overs format. However, the stalwart all-rounder failed to impress in the longest version of the game.

Singh played a solitary Test match for India against Zimbabwe in the year 1998 . He scored merely 27 runs with the bat and failed to pick any wicket in the 60 balls he bowled, conceding 32 runs at a decent economy of 3.20. Singh was dropped from the Indian Test team after his awful performance in the debut game and could never make a comeback in the Indian Test squad.

Interestingly, Singh bowled really well in the ODIs for India and also has a five-wicket haul against his name.
