#1 Introduction of Moeen Ali in the power-play

Despite losing Travis Head in the second over of the innings, the pair of Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh steadied the ship and Australia were well on their way of posting a huge total on the board.

Eoin Morgan brought Moeen Ali into the attack in the 9th over and this proved to be a decisive move. Moeen Ali, who has been in the tremendous form both with bat and ball for his county team Worcestershire, showed his class with the ball.

He first accounted for Aaron Finch, who tried to play an inside-out short to a good length delivery that caught the outside edge to handover a simple catch to the fielder inside the ring. Aaron Finch was dismissed for 19.

The off-spinner picked up another important of Marsh in his second over. The veteran, who was batting well on 24, misread one delivery that went straight through to clip the off stump.

With his tight line and lengths, the pair of Marcus Stoinis and skipper Tim Paine found it very hard to rotate the strike. Paine tried to break the shackles by playing a reverse sweep that was caught by the fielder at short fine leg.

This spell from Moeen broke the back of Australia and England were in a commanding position.

Ali bowled his 10 overs on a trot and ended up with splendid figures of 10-1-43-3, which earned him Man of the Match award.
