Cricket is a gentleman's game. However, many players in contemporary times, do not dress up like gentlemen with their funky hairdos and tattoos. The tattoo culture, and the beard culture that started few years ago has seen cricketers looking more as 'models'. To go with that, the hairstyles are getting more exotic than ever. Here are 6 fanciest hairstyles sported by cricketers.

Sammy was the captain of St. Lucia Zouks in the Caribbean Premier League. During the 2015 edition, Sammy sported a totally new hairstyle with his team's logo painted on the back of his head. It urged the St.Lucia fans to come and support their team as the skipper was being so colorful. Nonetheless, it did not work as the Zouks crashed out of the CPL during the league stage itself that year.

#5 Kevin Pietersen

Back in the day when fancy hairstyles did not form a part of cricketing culture, Kevin Pietersen as a 24 year-old kid sported audacious hairstyles including a blond one during the famous Ashes 2005. The same flair was seen in his batting as well when KP went on to score a magnificent 158 at The Oval in fifth test of the Ashes 2005. On one occasion, KP had changed the color from blonde to blue as well. However, as his career progressed, KP went on to sport more sober hairstyles.

#4 Kieron Pollard

We all know how much Kieron Pollard loves the T20 format of the game. Back in the first edition of Champions League in 2009 when he was playing for Trinidad and Tobago, Kieron Pollard sported a haircut which showed the letters ’20=20’ on the side. The tournament turned out to be a great success for him and soon Pollard established him as a T20 player. However, after that he was not seen doing any fancy things with his hair.

#3 Sunil Narine

<p>

The hairstyle ‘Mohawk’ gained popularity after Sunil Narine burst on to the international cricket arena in 2012 sporting the hairstyle. In Mohawk, the sides of the head are shaved off and the hair in the middle is allowed to grow and spiked. After Narine, many cricketers have followed the trend and tried that hairstyle in their own versions. Narine’s fellow teammate Andre Russell also has a similar hairstyle. Since then, Narine has been reluctant to shift to any other style as he believes the ‘Mohawk’ suits him the best.

#2 Hardik Pandya

Pandya belongs to the modern-day brand of cricketers who like to do everything in style. In August 2017, Pandya sported a very exotic hairstyle when he shaved his hair from the sides and kept a chunk in the middle and dyed it blonde. It seemed a unique hairstyle and Pandya received a fair bit of trolling from social media. So far he has tried blonde and blue in his hair, but it is just a matter of time before he comes up with another color. Hardik Pandya never fails to surprise us with his hairstyles, does he?

#1 Colin Miller

The Australian off-spinner once sported blue hair in a test match against the West Indies. In an era, when fancy hairstyles were not popular, Miller's hair color looked outlandish. In some of his other pics, he is seen sporting red, green and yellow as well. However, his test career was not as colorful as his hair as he faded away after playing just 18 tests for Australia.
