During his 24-year long illustrious career, Sachin Tendulkar scored a whopping 100 international centuries, 51 of them coming in Tests and 49 in ODIs.

Tendulkar scored hundreds in every part of the world during his career. However, there were a few historic grounds where the Master Blaster did not get a three-figure mark.

We look at those grounds where he missed this feat.

#5 Kingsmead, Durban

Tendulkar was part of the Indian setup that went on the historic maiden tour to South Africa in 1992.

The right-hander scored his maiden ton on South African soil at the Wanderers stadium but failed to showcase the same form at the other venues.

Since the trip, he went to the rainbow nation on four different occasions, but in none of those tours did the Master Blaster get a three-figure mark at Kingsmead in Durban.

His highest score in Tests there is 63 and in ODIs, it turned out to be 45.

#4 Sabina Park, Jamaica

If there was one country, where Tendulkar did not make as many trips as he would have liked during his career, it was the West Indies.

For a bilateral assignment, he went there with the Indian team just twice during his career in 1997 and 2002. There was, of course, the disastrous 2007 World Cup campaign.

On those trips, he mustered centuries, but not at the Sabina Park in Jamaica.

In Tests, in four innings, the Little Master's highest score is 86 and surprisingly, he never played an ODI at the venue during his career.

#3 The Kennington Oval, London

In his career, Tendulkar made five trips to England, the first one coming in 1990. In all, he made four Test centuries in the country, none of which came at the Kennington Oval in London.

Barring the bilateral tours, Tendulkar was also a part of the Indian squad at the 1999 World Cup, where he notched up the first century of that edition.

The venue, which has played host to more than 100 Test matches, did not witness a Tendulkar hundred in any of those tours. His best Test score at the venue is 91 with the highest ODI score being 94.

#2 The Gabba, Brisbane

Tendulkar just could not get going at Brisbane

If there was one country where Tendulkar loved batting, it was Australia. Right from his first trip in 1991/92, the right-hander enjoyed the pace and bounce that was offer on those pitches and made the Australian bowlers toil on his day.

He made six centuries in all, in his five visits to Australia, with Sydney featuring more than once on the list.

However, if there was one ground in Australia, where Tendulkar was not as prolific as some of the others, it was the Gabba in Brisbane.

In the two Tests that he played at the venue, his highest score proved to be a mere 16 and in ODIs, his best outing was 91 that came in the 2008 tour, the ODI leg of which India won.

#1 Lord's, London

In one of India's tours to England, legendary batsmen Geoffrey Boycott made a statement, which would not please Indian fans.

He said, "Sachin may be a great batsman, but he has never been on the Lord's honours board."

Harsha Bhogle delivered the perfect reply to that query: "So whose loss is it more, Sachin's or the honours board?"

Indeed. If there is one place where Tendulkar would have dearly loved to have found his name in during the course of his career, it was the honours board at Lord's.

And if the Marylebone Cricket Club were to be asked whose name they would have dearly loved to have seen on that board, there is a good chance of them quoting Tendulkar's name.

In five trips to the country, the right-hander's highest score proved to be 34 in Test matches and a mere 30 in ODIs.
