Probably the most improved and impactful player in England's ODI resurrection is wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler. England's vice-captain has played some scintillating knocks in ODI cricket which also includes England's fastest ever ODI hundred off just 46 balls against Pakistan.
His first five centuries were scored under less than run-a-ball and his career strike rate of 117 is a clear indicator of the same. He has been brilliant with the lower order and has been scoring heaps of runs consistently. Their lower order averages 28 which is six runs more than the second-best team.
The series against Australia in 2018 showed another version when he helped England chase a modest total of 206 after being in trouble at 114/8. It was an innings of substance which showcased he not only wields the long handle but also play the situation and win matches from crucial match situations.
