Andy Flower was born in South Africa and became Zimbabwe’s greatest cricket player. He was so good, he would have definitely made it even to the far more competitive South African team although he would have grown up in the Apartheid era.

The man who took England to dizzying heights as a coach, played 63 Tests scoring 4794 runs at 51.54 with 12 centuries. For almost the entire length of his career, the wicket-keeper batsman played for a weak side and still managed a high calibre batting average, amongst the highest for a wicket-keeper. He also distinguished himself in 213 ODIs scoring 6786 runs at 35.34.
