BCCI concerned over team's dismal show

Kolkata - In the wake of two back-to-back losses in the recent cricket Test series against England, the Indian cricket board Sunday expressed concern over the team’s recent dismal performance and said efforts were on to improve things.

“No one is happy with the losses. We are also concerned with the losses and are looking to fix it,” Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Sanjay Jagdale told mediapersons here.

However, he hastened to add: “After all, it’s a sport and winning and losing are part of it.”

With consecutive losses at Mumbai and Kolkata, India now trail in the four-Test match series against England 1-2 and must win the final Test at Nagpur to draw level.

Last year, India lost the away series against the same opponent 0-4 before being vanquished by the same margin Down Under by Australia in 2011-12.
