Sharma, who made a well-crafted innings of 65 runs in 40 deliveries in the recently concluded third T20I against New Zealand, reached his 20th fifty in T20Is and combined with his four centuries, joined Kohli in the unique list.
Sharma has scored 2713 runs in 107 T20Is for India, scoring at a healthy average of 31.92, while Indian skipper Virat Kohli has scored 24 fifties in 80 T20Is at an astonishing average of 51.54. Together, both the batsmen lead the list of highest run-getters in the shortest format of the game and are competing neck to neck for multiple records.
