Alaistar Cook - 2/10

Ashwin took his wicket quite easily in both the innings. Was not even able to cross the 20-run mark in the first innings and registered a duck in the second innings.

Keaton Jennings - 4/10

Played a 42-run knock in the first innings. Though he couldn't do much in the second inning.

Joe Root - 6.5/10

He was the highest run-scorer of the English side in the first innings as he scored 80 valuable runs. Being the skipper, he led the team to victory as well.

David Malan - 3/10

Dropped some valuable catches and couldn't make much impact with the bat either.

Jonny Bairstow - 5.5/10

Played two very crucial knocks in both the innings and was really good behind the wickets as well.

Ben Stokes - 6/10

Though he wasn’t that good with the bat, his performance, with the ball, was wonderful. Took the most-crucial wicket of Virat Kohli.

Sam Curran - 9.5/10

Sam Curran was brilliant with both bat and ball. He was also awarded the Player of the match award for this all-around performance.

Adil Rashid - 6/10

Took wickets everytime his captain gave him the ball.

Jos Buttler - 3/10

Wasn’t able to make any impact with the ball. His score in both the innings were - 1 & 0

Stuart Broad - 4/10

Didn’t play up to the expectations. Just took two wickets in the match.

James Anderson - 5/10

Despite ageing 37, his deliveries still frighten the batsmen. Overall, he performed really well.
