Kane Williamson will be a part of the Edmonton Royals’ squad in the Global T20 Canada 2019. The New Zealand skipper had a great World Cup even though his team were pipped to the crown by England in the final.

Williamson is not a hard hitter but he is a master at pacing his innings. He is an extremely mature player who can comfortably handle pressure even in the toughest of situations. Kane has so far got 1,505 runs under his belt in T20Is from just 57 matches.

Moreover, he will come into the tournament high on confidence having won the Man of the Tournament award at the recently concluded World Cup.

Chris Gayle captained the Vancouver Knights to victory 2018

Chris Gayle will play his 2nd edition of Global Canada T20 in 2019 after achieving great success in its first season. He was selected as a marquee player last year and he was a part of the Vancouver Knights in 2018. Captaining his team, Gayle led them to victory.

Popularly known as the Universe Boss, the West Indian could prove to be a nightmare for the bowlers once he gets going. He already has a plethora of records under his belt in the T20 format and he would hope to add to it come this tournament.

Hence, it would be interesting to see if Gayle can light up the Global Canada T20, in a manner not too dissimilar to how he has ignited many a competition in the past.
