Team India and Nike are set to launch the new jersey for the Indian cricket team on March 1 in Hyderabad.

The Indian cricket team has a tradition of releasing a new jersey only in the World Cup year and precisely before the month of the World Cup in that particular year. In 2015, the BCCI and official kit sponsors Nike unveiled the jersey in an amazing manner.

The players donned their new kits whilst standing on of the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. In 2015, the new jersey was launched before the tri-series with England and Australia.

The fans can expect another moment like this very soon, as the sponsors are reportedly set to unveil the new jersey on March 1 in Hyderabad, one day before the five-match ODI series against Australia. This also provides the fans with an opportunity to see the players play with their new jersey.

India is trailing the 2 matches T20I series by 0-1 and will make all efforts to win the next game. India will then look to make use of the upcoming five-match ODI series against Australia as a warm-up for the World Cup which is set to start by May 30.

Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has asked his teammates to stay careful during the IPL and also to rest themselves in the latter part of the tournament if their teams are in a secure position.

Kohli said,

“All the people who are going to be part of the World Cup squad, they have to make sure that their games don’t go too much away from the one-day mold of things.”

Hosts England will kick off their World Cup campaign by playing against South Africa in the tournament opener, while India will start its campaign against the Proteas on June 5.
