#2 Rohit Sharma

England v India - 1st ODI: Royal London One-Day Series

There is no better sight in Cricket than Rohit Sharma at his very best. He can effortlessly play those cover drives and square cuts on the off side. And there is absolutely no better player of the amazing pull shot. He can pull or hook any bowler for a six over fine leg or mid-wicket.

Opening the batting for India changed his career altogether. Earlier he used to struggle in the middle order but ever since he started opening, he became a different player. He has scored more than 5000 runs in around 100 games as an opener and averages close to 60. He has scored 18 off his 20 centuries while opening the innings.

In the last 2 years, he averaged close to 72 and scored 10 centuries. He has been India's second best player after Virat Kohli and ranked number 2 in the ODI batsmen list. He has a knack of playing big innings and has scored more than 150+runs six times which is the most for any player. Out of those six instances, thrice he went on to score a double hundred. No other player has scored even 2 double hundreds. His 264 against SriLanka is the highest score by a player in ODIs.

He will be very crucial for the world cup and will be responsible to play those marathon knocks that he has played in the past. He and Virat will have an added pressure of scoring runs as India's middle order is not looking in the best shape at the moment.
