#9 – Most runs scored off the 20th over to win a T20I

When West Indian all-rounder, Carlos Brathwaite had to face English all-rounder, Ben Stokes in the last over of the World T20 final, no one expected Brathwaite, a relative newcomer, to score 19 runs off 6 balls. The most people might have expected is that Brathwaite would give strike to the experienced Samuels at the other end.

However, what ensued was history being made as Brathwaite hit Stokes for not just 19 runs, but for 24 runs – hitting four sixes off the first four balls of the over. This was the most expensive last over in a winning cause, with the previous best being 23 runs scored by Australia against Pakistan in 2010.
