India vs Australia: Rajkot T20 match in danger of being a wash-out

India vs Australia T20 match could be rained out

The one-off Twenty-20 international match at the Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium in Rajkot on October 10th, 2013, which kick-starts Australia’s tour of India, is in danger of being washed out due to the inclement weather conditions in the city.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted that the city, which is already under the impact of rain, will face a heavy downpour for the next 48 hours.

Meanwhile, according to Rediff , the SCA sources have expressed hope in the match taking place even if the rain stops two or three hours before the scheduled start of the match.

The source was quoted as saying: “It rained heavily for three days last week but the outfield and wickets were not affected. Even if it rains two or three hours prior to the start of match, we can have the match with a slight delay, provided it doesn’t rain too heavily tomorrow.”
