Sachin Tendulkar is one of the greatest cricketers in the game's long history
#10 Salil Ankola
Cricketer-turned actor Salil Ankola was a classic case of talent being wasted. He couldn't survive in the fast, competitive world of fast bowlers for long.
Salil Ankola made his debut along with Sachin and Waqar that match and picked up 2 wickets in that game. His career was marred by injuries and the last tournament he participated in was the 1996 World Cup for which he was picked in the squad but didn't get to play a match. He has played 1 Test and 20 ODIs picking up 2 and 13 wickets respectively. Post retirement, he became an actor and few of his successful films are Churaa Liyaa Hai Tumne, Kurukshetra and Pitaah. He also participated in the first season of Bigg Boss and post that, his career spiralled downwards as he suffered from depression and addiction to alcohol. He recovered from that and last acted in a daily show, Savitri.
