India vs Sri Lanka 2017, 2nd T20I: Team India's probable XI

#Middle Order and Wicket-keeper

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer, who bats at number three in the absence of Virat Kohli, was exceptional in his debut ODI series against Sri Lanka as he scored back-to-back fifties and earned the batting spot in the 20-over format as well.

Shreyas played a handy cameo of 24 runs at Cuttack and was involved in a 63-run partnership with KL Rahul, that came at a crucial juncture of the game as it enabled the hosts to put up a handsome total on the board.

MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni walked out to bat at number four on Wednesday and left the crowd at the Barabati Stadium awe-struck with his finishing skills.

The former India captain went after the loose deliveries and punished them as he produced the most-thrilling partnership of the game with Manish Pandey. The duo scored 65 from the last 5 overs to end the innings on a high.

Dhoni was phenomenal with his glovework too. For being involved in four dismissals on Wednesday, the 36-year-old went past AB de Villiers' record for most dismissals in 20-over international cricket, taking his tally to 74, one more than the South African's record.

Manish Pandey

The ongoing T20I series is probably the last shot for Manish Pandey to prove his mettle and become a batting mainstay in India's middle-order.

With Deepak Hooda in the squad, Rohit Sharma went in with Pandey and the 28-year-old earned himself another chance in the series with an unbeaten 18-ball 32 at a staggering strike rate of 177.78.
