#1 Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is a name that hardly needs any introduction. The batting maestro has emerged as one of the greatest batsmen in the post-Sachin Tendulkar era, and has thwarted bowling attacks with the bat all around the world. Kohli is the leading run-scorer in T20 cricket, and has scored a record 24 fifties in the shortest format of the game.
The dynamic Indian skipper was in blazing form with the bat in the three-match T20I series against the West Indies. In the first T20I, it was Kohli’s rampaging 50-ball 94 that enabled India to cross the line. In the third T20I against the Windies, Kohli again blasted the opposition with the disdain of a monarch, scoring a whirlwind 70* off just 29 balls. And for the record, Kohli averaged a colossal 77.67 in 2019 in T20 cricket.
Sri Lanka will definitely be wary of the nightmares that a master batsman like Kohli can give the opposition, and if they don’t get him early, then they will be in for a long leather hunt.
