The series between India and South Africa is perhaps the biggest series of the year as it would pit the two top ranked sides against each other from the 5th of December.

As expected, the war of words have started and experts have already predicted that the Indian batsmen would be welcomed by a barrage of short deliveries from a very potent South African pace attack. But South Africa’s ace pacer, Dale Steyn, refuses to believe in the theory and said that Indian batsmen, nowadays, have sorted their problems against the short ball and will have no problems handling them during the upcoming Test series.

“This Indian team is very ‘modern’ and they will not be intimidated by the short ball. They all know what to expect and I know they won’t be vulnerable to a barrage of bouncers.” – Steyn wrote in his column in a well known newspaper. The South African paceman also said that the Indian batting unit is a scary one and compared them to a “runaway train”.

However, the 30-year-old superstar bowler is preparing diligently in order to find out the vulnerabilities of the Indian batting.

“I use as much information as I can get about the opposition. I have specific plans for all of the Indian batsmen and I can’t wait to put them into action.”
