#4 Sachin Tendulkar

The Master was the standout Indian batsman in the tournament. He batted in the middle order, and formed the mainstay of the Indian batting line up along with Rahul Dravid.
Sachin was in very good form throughout the tournament, as he troubled the opposition bowlers in almost every match. He stitched vital partnerships with Dravid, and his contributions were indispensable in posting mammoth totals on the board.
Tendulkar finished as India's highest run getter, and the tournament's second highest, notching two centuries on the course. Apart from this, he also chipped in with a few overs of economical off spin, when required by the team.
Though Sachin could not get going in the final, he was one of the main forces that propelled the team to the final.
