#2 Glenn Maxwell

The swashbuckling Australian off-spinning all-rounder is another IPL giant who will not be turning up in the 12th edition of the league. Maxwell made his IPL debut in 2012 and has been a proven entertainer every time he has turned up for any team.

His last season with the Delhi Daredevils did not go according to plan though, and he was released in the trade window last month. Keeping the 2019 World Cup in mind, and also the possibility of a Test comeback sometime in the future, Maxwell opted to withdraw himself from the auction pool.

The Indian fans will surely miss watching his lusty hits at IPL 2019.

#1 Aaron Finch

Aaron Finch is a gigantic name in the world of T20 cricket. In the IPL, he has been one of the most consistent foreign openers and an insatiable run-scorer for the various sides he has played.

This time around, Finch has decided to opt out of the IPL to keep himself fresh for the 2019 World Cup. It is a pity that one of the world's best T20I batsmen and record-holder of the highest T20I individual score will not be taking part in the world's biggest T20 league this time around.

That said, you can't fault Finch's choice, as he would be gutted to miss out on the World Cup if he sustains fatigue or an injury during the IPL.
