Adil Rashid has seen a great rise in the ICC ODI rankings and is currently at the sixth place; he is also ranked fourth in the ICC T20 bowlers' rankings.

Rashid can be a good option for teams which don't have premium spinners. With Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman already signed up and players like Shadab Khan not allowed to play, Rashid would have caught the eye of quite a few franchises.

He has been a major part of England's limited overs success in 2018, picking up 42 wickets in 24 matches with a decent economy rate of 5.42 and average of 27.48. He's been a good T20I bowler as well, and has picked up 12 wickets in 9 matches this year at a great economy of 6.83 and average of 20.20.

Rashid is a must have for any team which needs a proper spinner, and will likely be a prime target at the auction.

#1 Joe Root

ICC ODI batsmen's ranking: 4

Joe Root went unsold last auction, but he is likely to attract bids this time around. The 'Fab Four' batsman who has never played in the IPL will be a solid number 3 or number 4 who can anchor the innings and play for a long time.

Many teams who opted for aggressive big hitters last season found their batting order collapsing under pressure. They will look to rectify that in 2019, which is why Root can become huge property at the auction.

Root has had a decent T20 career, scoring 787 runs in 28 matches with a strike rate of 128.59 and average of 35.77. With impressive stats in ODI cricket as well, it's odd to see that he hasn't been part of an IPL side yet.

Root is currently ranked 4th in the ICC ODI batsmen's rankings and possesses solid technique. He could well become the Kane Williamson of this season and make a huge impact on the tournament.
