IPL 2019 auctions: List of players with maximum base price

#4 Angelo Mathews

The veteran all-rounder of Sri Lankan cricket is a useful player to have, due to his ability to contribute with both bat and ball. In his earlier days, he was a valuable fielder as well.

He had put in his name for the Rs. 2 crore slot, just like he had done last year. However, the Sri Lankan did not find any takers in the 2018 edition.

#5 Lasith Malinga

Along with Mathews, another surprising entry in the maximum base price list is Lasith Malinga, who was the bowling coach of the Mumbai Indians last season. The pacer with a slinging action is no doubt an IPL legend, and leads the charts for the most wickets in the IPL across all seasons, but hasn't really been his old self in the last few years.

He last played in the 2017 season, picking up 11 wickets from 12 games.

#6 Shaun Marsh

Part of the Australian middle-order in the upcoming Test series against India, Marsh, the Orange Cap holder of the inaugural season has pushed himself to the maximum base price bracket. A solid left-handed batsman who can control the innings with his assured strokes, Marsh had put his price at Rs. 1.5 crores in the auctions last year, but went unsold.

He last played in the 2017 season, scoring 264 runs from nine games.
