Australian speedster Mitchell Johnson, who wreaked havoc in the English side with his menacing pace and swing, earning him the ‘Man of the Series’ title, has promised to shave off his moustache that he sported during the Ashes.

Australia celebrated the Ashes whitewash of England at the Sydney Opera House amongst thousands of fans. Johnson thanked the fans for their continued support and said that he will be shaving off his moustache, which he had recently dyed pink.

He said that he will stick to his commitment of shaving the moustache at the end of the series but plans to grow it back prior to the South African trip.

According to DNAIndia, he added that his team-mate Shane Watson has told him to keep his moustache as it is his trademark now.

The Australian players will have a couple of days off before the limited-overs side regroups for the ODI series against England starting on Sunday in Melbourne.
