Sachin Tendulkar has backed Rohit Sharma and Co. to deliver against Pakistan in T20 World Cup.

Sachin Tendulkar has wished India luck for their 2024 T20 World Cup clash against arch-rivals Pakistan at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday, June 9. He reminisced about his first [1992] World Cup experience against the Men in Green, adding that the rivalry has become interesting with time. He backed the two teams to put their best foot forward in the mega ICC event.

India and Pakistan will lock horns for the eighth time in the T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue dominate Pakistan 5:1 in head-to-head clashes. One game in 2007 ended in a tie, leading to the famous bowl-out incident. The Rohit Sharma-led side beat the Men in Green by four wickets in the 2022 edition to avenge the 10-wicket loss in 2021.

On the eve of Ind-Pak T20 World Cup clash, Tendulkar told ANI:

“When we talk about tomorrow's match, which is going to be a big match, India vs Pakistan. It has always been a big match. My first World Cup experience against Pakistan was way back in 1992 in Australia. And from there on, the number of World Cup matches that we've played against each other, they've all been exciting, super exciting."
“I would like to wish both teams the very best of luck for tomorrow. I know both teams are well prepared to go out and give their best when it comes to sharing the best of luck that I have wished a little more towards India," he added.
