India launched an all-out attack on Bangladesh after bowling them out for 233 runs in the first innings. Since rain did not allow any action on the second and third days of the Test, Rohit Sharma and Co. decided to bat with a T20 approach in their first innings.

The move worked for India as they reached 285/9 in just 34.4 overs and declared the innings with a 52-run lead. Rahul top-scored with a 43-ball 68. Cricket fans on X lauded the right-handed batter's performance and one of them felt that the 'Vintage KLR' was back.

*When he fails*: Gets criticized.
*When he scores*: Gets criticized double for showing his true potential but being inconsistent," the fan tweeted.

Fans think KL Rahul gained some much-needed confidence from the half-century against Bangladesh

Over the last few months, Rahul struggled to score big for India. He got off to good starts but lost his wicket before scoring big. With India set to play eight Tests in the next four months, a popular fan on X mentioned that this quickfire half-century will boost Rahul's confidence.

"WELL PLAYED, KL RAHUL - 68 runs from just 43 balls, a great confidence boost for the Test season," the X user posted.

Another X user said Rahul deserved the respect from the fans because he did not think about his century but instead played aggressively for the team.

"68 runs off just 43 balls for KL Rahul. He batted at a strike rate of 158, what a special innings. Rahul played a very selfless knock today. Respect," the user tweeted.

Rahul's brilliance has placed India in a decent position. Bangladesh trail by 52 runs in the second innings. If India executes their plans well with the ball, they can pull off a miraculous victory in Kanpur.
