Australian opener and last-match hero Travis Head was dismissed for a golden duck by Scotland’s seamer Bradley Currie in the second game of the three-match T20I series on Friday, September 6. The match is taking place at Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh.

The dismissal happened on the fourth ball of the second over. Currie delivered a good-length ball just outside off-stump. The left-handed batter, misjudging the inward movement, played the ball away from his body, leaving a significant gap between bat and pad. As a result, the ball crashed into the top of the middle stump.

Here’s the video of the dismissal:

Head departed without scoring, leaving Australia at 11/1 after 1.4 overs.

Josh Inglis slams a sensational century to help Australia post a strong total

Scotland won the toss and opted to bowl first after the game was delayed due to bad weather. Bradley Currie struck early for the hosts, dismissing the dangerous Travis Head for a golden duck.

Jake Fraser-McGurk had a disappointing debut in the first game, failing to score. His struggles continued as he was dismissed for run-a-ball 16, with Currie claiming his second wicket of the match.

Josh Inglis and Cameron Green (36) combined for a 92-run partnership off 52 balls for the third wicket before the latter was dismissed by Currie for 36 off 29 balls. Inglis was in excellent form, bringing up his fifty off just 20 balls.

Inglis went on to slam 103 off 49 balls, with seven fours and as many sixes, before getting dismissed by Christopher Sole. Marcus Stoinis (20*) and Tim David (17*) remained unbeaten as Australia posted 196 on the board. Currie was the standout bowler for the hosts, finishing with figures of 3/37.
