WPL 2025 auction set to take place on December 15, 3 players register themselves at INR 50 lakh

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 auction is set to take place in Bengaluru on Sunday, December 15, 2024. The auction will get underway at 3 PM IST.

A total of 120 players will go under the hammer, including 91 Indian and 29 overseas players. Three players are also included from associate nations. There are nine Indian-capped players and 21 capped overseas cricketers.

Only 19 slots are up for grabs, including five for overseas players for the WPL 2025 season.

Three players have put themselves in the highest bracket – INR 50 lakh. They are all-rounderh s Deandra Dottin (West Indies), Heather Knight (England), and wicketkeeper-batter Lizelle Lee (South Africa).

Meanwhile, 27 players have put their base price at INR 30 lakh. Popular names are Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, Darcie Brown, Lauren Cheatle, Nadine de Klerk, Kim Garth, Danielle Gibson, Sarah Glenn, Heather Graham, Tejal Hasabnis, Chinelle Henry, Alana King, C Prathyusha, Orla Prendergast, Sneh Rana, Shubha Satheesh, Sushma Verma, Poonam Yadav, Nicola Carey, Sophia Dunkley, Lauren Filer, Mansi Joshi, Rosemary Mair, Madhuri Mehta, Nuzhat Parween, Paige Schofield, and Amanda-Jade Wellington.

The other players have placed themselves in the lowest bracket of INR 10 lakh at the WPL 2025 auction.
