Indian Cricket team's skipper Virat Kohli has revealed that only one spot is remaining in India's pace attack for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia, which is set to start in late 2020. Kohli indicated that Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar could get picked as certain candidates for the tournament.

While addressing the media ahead of the 1st T20I versus West Indies in Hyderabad, Kohli depicted how he foresees the possible candidate could get picked for the ICC event.

The fight obviously is for one spot and I think more or less three guys have made a place for themselves. It’s going to be a healthy competition and it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Kohli indicated how the problem of plenty doesn't exist for India as many talented bowlers have a specialty of their own.

It’s not that big an issue for us. I think Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar) and (Jasprit) Bumrah are experienced bowlers. They have been very consistent in T20 cricket. Deepak (Chahar) has come in and has bowled really well.
Mohammed Shami got picked for the T20I series this year, who played a T20 match for India back in July 2017 against the West Indies. He has been a sensational bowler for India in ODIs and Tests recently and will look to make a statement in the shortest format of the game as well.

Kohli backed Shami and revealed what needs to get done for him to feature as a useful bowler for India in T20Is.

(Mohammed) Shami is coming back and he is bowling really well. If he gets into a rhythm and specifically works on what’s required in T20 cricket then he will be very, very useful in places like Australia, especially with his ability to pick wickets with the new ball. He has enough pace to execute yorkers.

Deepak Chahar also emerged as a find for India in the shorter formats. His record-breaking 6/7 against Bangladesh stands as the best bowling figures in T20 history. Virat Kohli concluded by talking about how the younger talents have stepped up to the occasion, and are under the scanner for that spot.
